Another Sennheiser hit.

I have always felt that Sennheiser makes the best headphones for the money, and this pair has continued to justify that opinion. The sound on these is great, they actually rival my much larger (and more expensive) HD-280sSennheiser HD 280 Pro Headphones.

While the HD2.30i is an "on ear" headphone (as opposed to the over ear closed headphones like the HD-280s) they still offer quite a bit of sound isolation. They fit tight against the ear with think foam padding. As someone who isn't a fan of full on noise cancelling headphones this is the kind of sound blocking I prefer, but it will reduce your ability to hear the outside world so it might not be the best choice for someone jogging/biking.

These headphones have a single detachable cord that plugs into the right ear piece, with a 3 button inline remote. Two of the buttons control volume, and the third (middle) button acts as a smart button. One press will pause the music, two will skip songs, and holding it down will activate Siri. This is also where the mic is located, and it seemed to have no trouble hearing me.

I got these as an upgrade to the PX-100Sennheiser PX 100 Lightweight Collapsible Headphones (Discontinued by
Manufacturer)that I purchased in 2009, still going strong. The HD2.30i are a clear upgrade in sound quality and do a much better job with isolation.

These headphones do fold up and come with a cloth pouch, but they do take up more room than the smaller and thinner PX-100 headphones for those that really want something that folds up as small as possible.

I can't speak for longevity on these, because I just got them. But given the exceptional track record Sennheiser has had for me I am hoping these will last for years. If they don't and break too quickly, I will update the review to reflect that.

I payed 30$ for these in '21 and they lasted as much as 30$ worth before the earmufs fell out. I do like them, great for travel comfy and sleek but not worth 80$ jeez.

I have never purchased a bad Sennheiser product, and this is no exception. I am really in love with these headphones. They are a replacement for my Sennheiser PX-200 ii headphones which I have had for over 3 years now. These HD2.30G headphones are SUBSTANTIALLY more comfortable to wear, and the sound quality is equal if not better than the PX-200's.

The thing that always annoyed me with the PX-200 was the volume control because it was always resting right where I always wanted to rest my left hand on my desk. I do not have that same problem with these HD2.30G headphones because the volume control is right up near my head and the headphones, and combined with the longer cord these HD2.30G headphones provide, it is a much more pleasurable experience chilling out listening to music with these headphones than it was with the PX-200; and with literally all the other headphones I have experience with.

Update (purchased August 2017, update September 2018): they still are rocking and are still very comforitable after over a year later, which is amazing. Usually the foam will start to deteriorate by now but it's still like new for me except for some discoloration from skin oils. The only issue I had was the cord started to start to pull out of where it connects to the headphones because I regularly drop the headphones and accidently yank on the cord, but I got some gorilla hotglue sticks and a hotglue gun to reinforce the connection of the cord up into the headphone and that has held super solid for a long time now. The sound quality didn't even degrade while the cord was pulled out a bit.

I was very hesitant about purchasing this product, given the negative reviews posted here. Out of the box I discovered the headband was not adjustable and the headphones were tight on my head. But, when I realized that the headphones are adjusted to your head with the earcups, I found a very comfortable fit. The fit is snug and the sound isolation is good but you can still hear sounds in the room.
After listening to various music, I found the sound spectrum balanced with a punchy but not overpowering base. The headphones reproduce the recorded sound very good, if the recording was muddy I heard muddy music. If the recording was crisp and clear, that’s what I heard. I listened to music from both Apple and amazon music services. I have owned other Sennheiser products, including px100’s. This product is a winner for me and continues the fine tradition of sennheiser headphones.
The only negative for me is that the volume control is right next to the earcup.

No need to get really wordy here. There are lots of great reviews of this headphone already out there. These phones are comfortable and they show the difference between "toy phones" and products from well known and respected manufacturers. Our lad uses these for gaming and for general listening and they're all he hoped they would be. The cord length is better for gaming. The inline volume control is handy for general listening. The entire product seems to be well made with no obvious and likely break points. We did purchase the extended warranty because we know that gaming is (for whatever reason) hard on headphones. The white color looks good and the product fit and finish is pure Sennheiser. He has used these daily for several weeks and this was a good purchase. We would certainly recommend them to a friend.

After months of usage of my original and well recommended videoconference headphones (Mpow 071), such a good noise environment reduction (verified after hours of usage in Webex meetings), the headset structure start normal broken deterioration, so I noticed the environment noise reduction card are located inside the USB control so you are able to attach any 3.5mm headphones. It made me to find a good comfortable headset with 3.5 mm plug with mic. So now I replaced the old MPOW headset for this Sennheiser HD 2.30i headset and I keep same noise reduction quality in my videocalls and with a good design of headphones. Recommended!!!

Awesome for the gym. These are extremely comfortable and sound significantly better than $20 basic disposable headphones. Build quality and materials are first rate. The weight makes them feel well made, however when doing crunches or sit-ups etc the band may move a bit due to gravity/weight of the band. The cup sliders for a perfect fit are awesome, and these somehow manage to block out a significant amount of ambient noise in the gym. The iOS controls work with iPhone 7's lightning port. The main downside for the gym is that they seem to make your ears a slightly warm. Highly recommended coming from someone who prefers wired "disposable" gym headphones over huge Beats fashion statements.

I loved my PX100 headphones, they were comfortable and easy to travel with but the cat got the cable one night when I left them out. These are Sennheiser replacement for them and they are uncomfortable on my ears and and bulky and I would not recommend them.
