NBC/Universal/Comcast's new Peacock app streams free movies and shows.

There is a way to get 3 months of Premium for free with an Android device, I will outline the details below.

First, what their free tier offers:
  • Lots of content is free, with ads, to anyone who signs up. No credit card is required to access the free tier.
  • Popular NBC shows are included, as well as a rotating selection of movies.
  • Some same-day broadcasts of NBC News brands, Sky News, and Meet the Press are available after they air on regular TV.
  • Some live sports will be included free, like Premier League, Tour de France, and some wrestling. May also include free coverage of the summer Olympics in Tokyo, set to take place next summer.
The Premium tier opens their entire streaming library.

If you have an Android device or an Android TV device, 3 months free is available to you by following these steps:
  1. On your Android phone, Android tablet, or Android-based TV device, download the Peacock TV app through Google Play.
  2. Create a new Peacock account through that app. Signing up (creating an email & password) must be done through the Android app, to be eligible for 3 months free.
  3. Wait a day, then check your email for a code. You have until the end of August to redeem the code, eligible for free Premium for 3 months. If you redeem after Auguest 31, the free period drops to 2 months.
  4. A credit card is required when redeeming the code. They charge nothing until the 3 month trial ends, although you may see a temporary $1 hold on your card that releases in a few days.
After signing up and redeeming the 3-month free trial, your Peacock account (with free Premium) can be accessed on any device.

Anyone who does not have an Android device gets just 7-days of Premium for free.

After the trial, the fee is $5/month for Premium.

If you are a Comcast or Cox Cable customer, you may already get Peacock TV Premium for free.
