Back again is the TCL 55S434 55-inch 4K TV with HDR and Android built-in for $250. It has great specs for the price (specifications).

Similar to Roku or Fire TV, this TCL's operating system can install apps from a huge list of Android TV apps such as Netflix, HBO, YouTube, YouTube TV, Hulu, Prime Video, and others. Also has a RF antenna input for free over-the-air channels (RF antenna sold separately).

The Android works with Cast from a mobile device, where you can:
  • Share a Chrome browser page from your computer onto the TV,
  • Cast a Google Meet to your TV, and
  • Play videos from YouTube, Facebook, and others from your computer, mobile device, or Google Home smartspeaker to your TV.
We have the older model TCL 55S405 with Roku built-in, and found the TV to have an excellent quality display for the price. Certainly many higher-end TVs will have a better quality display, like Sony's XBR and any OLED display, but those cost much more than this $250 deal.
