| Details: | Amazon Fire TV Stick for $20 Best Buy stores and BestBuy.com are selling the Amazon Fire TV Stick with Alexa Voice Remote for $20. Shipping is free, and same-day in-store pickup is available. Normally sells for $40. $20 is an amazing value if you are OK with not having YouTube. Since Amazon and Google are competing in the same space, Google's YouTube (and YouTube TV) do not work on a Fire TV Stick. And, Amazon's Prime Video (including Amazon original series) do not play on a Google Chromecast. All do play on a Roku. Hulu, Netflix, Vudu, and other streaming apps work on the Fire TV, on Chromecast, and on a Roku. We chose Google Chromecast in our home because we use YouTube TV for live shows (mostly sports and the evening shows). We enjoy unlimited DVR per account, and up to 5 accounts included means everyone in the home can watch anything in their own TV library. Best Buy is also selling the 4K Amazon Fire TV UltraHD Stick for $35. Normally sells for $70. To stream 4K, a reliable 25 megabits connection is required and may still depend on which state you live in. |
